Show off the beauty of your love with this simple greeting card idea. You'll need decoupage medium, such as Mod Podge, a foam paintbrush, plenty of glitter, and a pencil.

  1. Place a blank card on a protected work surface. Use a foam brush to brush the entire front of the card with decoupage medium.
  2. Cover the whole card with lots of glitter. Tap off the excess.
  3. Before the decoupage medium dries, use the eraser end of a pencil to scrape off the glitter in a heart shape. Let the card dry and write a romantic message or cute love quote inside.

  2. After the tiles are dry, glue them to the center of a plain red card.
  3. Allow the glue to dry. Then write a message of love inside the card.

Make a creative greeting card by layering tissue paper hearts. You'll need watercolors, glue, and a white paint pen.

  1. Cut several free-form hearts out of pale pink tissue paper.
  2. Using darker pink watercolor paint, add brush strokes to some of the hearts. Use paint to define the edges of each heart as well.
  3. Glue the hearts to create an uneven stack. Then glue the stack to a plain white greeting card.
  4. Use a white paint pen to add a greeting.

Rainbow Love

This lovely design for a greeting card also uses watercolors. Simply mask off a heart by using a stencil. Then paint rainbow stripes and remove the stencil. After the paint is dry, add your message with a black marker.

No matter how you decide to create your own greeting cards, you'll find that the results are much more personal and meaningful than anything you can buy in a store.
