- Check your local fabric and hobby shops. There may also be sewing shops which deal solely in selling machines. If you can't find one there, ask the employees if they have a bulletin board that allows their customers to advertise used equipment. You may find just what you are looking for!
- Check online auctions, such as eBay. Here you can set up an account and bid, just like a regular auction. You can read the descriptions of the products, and you can even contact the seller with additional questions. Be sure you pay attention to the seller's feedback score before you buy, and don't forget to add in your shipping costs before you submit your bid.
